Hallo und herzliche willkommen auf meiner Webseite!

Naturlandschaften – ob Berggipfel vor kristallklarem Himmel, glitzernde Weiten des Ozeans oder Gletscherebenen, die Perfektion eines moosbedeckten Pfades oder die Schönheit eines einsamen Baumes – berühren mich tief und rufen abwechselnd Freude, Frieden, Ehrfurcht und Trost hervor.

Mein größter Anspruch in der Fotografie ist es, neben dem Versuch, die Ästhetik der Natur einzufangen, den Emotionen und der Atmosphäre, die ich selbst im Moment der Aufnahme erlebt habe, so nahe wie möglich zu kommen.

Das Licht, Der Duft des Waldes nach einem Regenschauer, die Temperatur, die Anwesenheit der Tiere um mich herum. Das plötzliche Gefühl der Sonne auf der Haut, wenn einem kalt ist, weil es eisig und windig oder alles um einen herum noch nebelfeucht ist.

Fotos zu schaffen, die zum Weiterdenken, zum Fantasieren und zum Fühlen jenseits des Physischen einladen.

Die Emotion eines Fotos liegt in den tieferen Schichten, die man beim Betrachten des Kunstwerks sieht und spürt. 

– Ästhetik im weitesten Sinne des Wortes –

In der Natur zu sein war schon immer ein wichtiger Teil meines Lebens. Schon als kleines Kind war ich gern allein in der Natur und suchte die Stille abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade. Zum Nachdenken, zum Reflektieren und vor allem zum Genießen der Dinge um mich herum.

Ich bin Opernsänger und Landschaftsfotograf und wohne in Karlsruhe.

Aufgewachsen am IJsselmeer in den Niederlanden und heute wohnhaft im Südwesten Deutschlands zwischen Schwarzwald und Pfälzer Wald.

Natural landscapes – whether mountain peaks against a crystal-clear sky, shimmering expanses of ocean or glacial plains, the perfection of a moss-covered path, or the beauty of a solitary tree – touch me deeply and evoke joy, peace, awe, and comfort in turn.

My greatest ambition in photography, in addition to trying to capture the aesthetics of nature, is to get as close as possible to the emotions and atmosphere I experienced at the moment of taking the picture.

The light, the scent of the forest after a rain shower, the temperature, the presence of the animals around me. The sudden feeling of the sun on my skin when I'm cold because it's icy and windy, or when everything around me is still damp with mist.

To create photographs that invite me to think, to fantasize, and to feel beyond the physical aspects of what is visible in the photo. That's where the emotion of a photograph lies, in the deeper layers you feel in your body when you look at the work of art.

– Aesthetics in the broadest sense of the word –

Being in nature has always been an important part of my life. Even as a small child, I enjoyed being alone in nature and sought silence off the beaten path. To think, to reflect, and above all, to enjoy the things around me.

I am an opera singer and landscape photographer living in Karlsruhe.

I grew up on the IJsselmeer Lake in the Netherlands and now live in southwest Germany between the Black Forest and the Palatinate Forest.
